These days, summer is in the air and the desire for the sea is so strong, so I thought I would dedicate this article to a style inspired by the charm of the coastal environment. This is the coastal style, a trend for beach lovers and marine landscapes.
I decided to incorporate it into the bathroom, for those who, even at home, want to recreate the atmosphere of the coast and feel a bit on vacation while indulging in a relaxing bath and taking care of their body.

The coastal style comes from the shabby chic style, sharing various aspects, including the brightness of the rooms, colonial-inspired furniture, the use of raw wood, light fabrics, and the predominance of light colors, particularly shades of white and light blue. It is the ideal style for furnishing a home by the sea and beyond; in fact, the atmosphere it creates in the home is fresh and pleasant and is reminiscent of the sunny coasts of the United States, Australia, and the Mediterranean Sea, with features that slightly change depending on the geographical inspiration.

In a coastal bathroom, there is no shortage of wood or marble tiles, tiles or mosaics in shades of light blue or sand, linear or colonial white style furniture with raw or white lacquered wood shelves, strictly sanitary white ceramic or stone sinks, textiles and prints with marine-themed patterns, white ceramic accessories, light blue or coral accents, rope details, scented candles, and white lanterns to create a pleasant soft light.
In fabrics, stripes are a must with prints and embroidery on marine themes. To add a pop of color, coral accents are a classic, but you can also try it with a firm yellow or a dark green.
Above, you can see the moodboard materials I created in 3D modeling by combining raw wood with blue mosaic, stone with white wood, matte lacquered surfaces, and a fabric with an irregular striped pattern juxtaposed with red and beige cutouts. To finish, I added colonial-style objects and a print depicting coral.
The Coastal style is ideal for those who love the sea and want to feel like they are on vacation at home all year round, enjoying a fresh and relaxing atmosphere. It suits those with a sunny and sparkling personality, but also dreamy and thoughtful.
Below, you will find the Pinterest board with many examples of coastal style bathrooms. On the profile, you will also find the bulletin board dedicated to interior decoration, with plenty of ideas for your home.
